The Toronto Dollar project relies heavily on volunteers to succeed. Volunteers are involved in may areas of the Dollar, such as helping with the internal work, selling the Toronto Dollars, or by visiting various businesses around the area promoting our scheme.

A lot of the work is based around the St. Lawrence Market area, and we will soon be expanding to the Riverdale area of Toronto. If you are interested in these areas, or can even work from home, and wish to volunteer, then please let us know. We are especially looking for people to work on the Toronto Dollar Booth, on a Saturday at the St. Lawrence Market. This involves selling the Toronto Dollars, dealing with customers, and generally providing information on the Toronto Dollar project.

Attention High School Students

Now that you need to complete 40 hours of volunteering by the end of high school, why not spend that 40 hours doing something you enjoy. With Toronto Dollars you can choose a volunteer opportunity that brings out your talents and skills. Volunteering is not only about helping the community but also about helping you to achieve some of your goals

At Toronto Dollar we will fit the volunteer position to fit you. If you like to write articles you can help interview participating merchants for our newsletter. If you love computer work you can help with our database or help us with the design and layout of our brochures and media. If you prefer more "hands on" work you can become involved with our recycling projects. No matter what your interest Toronto Dollar will fit the volunteer position to you.
