Position: Redemption and Office Associate

Time Commitment: One day (8 hour) shift per week

Tasks: General
- work with the Treasurer, Volunteer Coordinator and the Board of Directors to fulfill goals of the organization.
- Report to the Board of Directors

Specific:
1. Work with Treasurer to facilitate redemptions of Toronto Dollars
2. Work with Volunteer Coordinator in recruiting, training, scheduling and coordinating volunteers to sell TD$ at St. Lawrence Market
3. Answer phone messages

And, as time permits:
4. Develop and maintain relationships with merchants who accept TD$
5. Assist in preparation and coordination of tasks specific to Toronto Dollar events

Duties:
- travel to and from redemption locations
- collect and exchange Toronto Dollars and Canadian Currency
- recruit, train schedule and coordinate volunteers
- listen, convey, and return phone messages
- meet and listen to concerns of merchants
- maintain careful accurate records of dollar sales and redemptions

Supervisor: The President of the Board

Knowledge and Abilities:
- good interpersonal skills
- responsible
- reliable and punctual
- attentive to detail
- working understanding of Microsoft Office
- proficient with basic mathematics
- accounting background helpful

Remuneration: Honorarium of $100. per week
