Toronto dollars are printed on special paper and include security measures against counterfeit printing.

The OLD currency has a printed expiry date which was two years away from the date the currency was printed. This expiry date became a problem after it expired. Toronto Dollar has not reprinted the bills yet and so continue to use the currency until December 31/2005, at which time they will be exchanged for the new bills
